<p>The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) at the La Crosse Community-Based Outreach Clinic (CBOC) supports the Nurse Manager (NM) with supervisory duties, responsibility, and accountability for the operation of their designated units. The incumbent of this position will function as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor to the team. They enhance care outcomes through collaboration and implement new evidence-based cutting-edge processes to meet the needs of Veterans and their caregivers.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) at the La Crosse Community-Based Outreach Clinic (CBOC) is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The person in this role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates implants for use as indicated. They communicate effectively with healthcare members, vendors, and patients to ensure continuity of care within the Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system. The La Crosse CBOC ANM is also responsible for the following duties: Supporting the Nurse Manager (NM) with supervisory duties. Assuming responsibility and accountability for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, and development of staff. Providing input into the evaluation of individual staff performance. Engaging in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth. Equipping staff with tools for competent care. Promoting accountability for high-quality, cost-effective outcomes. Cultivating alliances across the care continuum. Contributing to the development of care delivery models and environmental design to ensure evidence-based, accessible, affordable, and equitable patient care. Aligning nurse clinical objectives with organizational strategic outcomes. Providing coverage for other ANMs, as needed. Other duties, as assigned. The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), located at 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326. The ACEN accredits all levels of nursing programs, including clinical doctorate, masters/post master's certificate, baccalaureate, associate and diploma nursing education programs. (Note: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission/NLNAC changed its name to ACEN in May 2013. ACEN's website may be utilized to verify accredited programs using automated inquiry processes; however, for verification of any nursing program's accreditation prior to 1998, an automated inquiry cannot be used and ACEN must be contacted directly via their email contact information on the ACEN website to verify.) The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), located at 655 K Street, NW, Suite 7, Washington, DC 20001. The CCNE is an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and accredits nursing education programs at the bachelor and master's level.
