<p>This Registered Nurse (Research) position is located at Lafayette City Center, 2 Avenue de Lafayette, Boston, MA. This position is a term appointment not to exceed three years (12/30/2029), full-time 40 hours per week.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties will include: Evaluate compliance with the regulatory guidelines that guide the conduct of research. Lead the provision of education for studies supported and lead ongoing regulatory compliance assessments for each study. Provide clinical expertise in the planning of clinical trials including reviewing the existing clinical ecosystem and infrastructure, identifying potential clinical risks such as possible drug interactions, determining feasibility of proposed interventions within the existing VA infrastructure. Contribute to quality culture for clinical trials Contribute to risk-based decision making Provide clinical expertise clinical trial activities, including chart review and adjudication, review of electronic health record data, and providing clinical specifications and definitions. Support integrated monitoring activities with interdisciplinary clinical trial teams, including assessing clinical trials for clinical risks to patients. Lead quality improvement for study recruitment protocols and evaluate success of recruitment efforts for diversity and inclusion where possible. Apply nursing expertise to lead improvement. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate research. Influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Assess individuals to determine their qualification for inclusion in research protocols. Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: Not Authorized Telework: Ad-Hoc as determined by the agency policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Subject to background/security investigation. Must pass pre-employment physical examination. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), or Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) must be fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission On Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Verification of accreditation may be obtained from http://www.acenursing.us/accreditedprograms/programsearch.htm or https://directory.ccnecommunity.org/reports/accprog.asp. - If your school has changed names, or is no longer in existence, you must provide this information in your application. - If your school was accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation, but is no longer listed on the websites, you must provide documentation of accreditation with your application packet.
