How would you like to become a part of a team providing compassionate whole health care to Veterans?</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Quality Management (QM) Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor executes position responsibilities and demonstrates performance and leadership that is broad enough to impact on the standard of care and safety of staff while caring for all patients throughout the continuum of care. The QM Supervisor oversees the provision of education, orientation, competencies for assigned QM programs. The QM Supervisor evaluates the quality of practice in an ongoing process, based on best practice and evidence-based research. The QM Supervisor continuously evaluates assigned programs and develops performance measures and tracer audits to ensure programmatic successful outcomes. The QM supervisor ensures the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and core values are understood by the team and integrated into the Quality Management department program's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and products, and services. Communicates and evaluates QM assignments, QM projects, and program issues, and completion timeframes. Leads discussions with facility leaders regarding program goals and requirements to meet the operational quality needs of the facility and regulated VA agency programs. Provides strategic quality management advice and recommendations, while collectively collaborating with the multiple program staff to develop solutions to complex issues and report actions to leadership. The QM Supervisor is responsible for reporting documented outcomes at the program facility level, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) level, and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) level. The QM Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Quality Management program in all service lines within the organization. Program level outcomes must be broad and complex and can be demonstrated at any organizational level within a facility, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN), or Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO). Preferred Education / Certification / Experience: MSN, Certified Healthcare Quality Professional (CPHQ), Nurse Leadership</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Subject to background/security investigation. Must pass pre-employment physical examination. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
