The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Registered Nurse - Quality Management Nurse Consultant. The Registered Nurse -Quality Management Nurse Consultant will function in Quality Managements Service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Registered Nurse - Quality Management Nurse Consultant duties include but are not limited to: Responsibility for the daily management of accreditation and compliance activities for the Medical Center and all off-site locations as assigned. Collects data, monitors staff compliance with VHA Directives, local and VISN policies and accreditation standards, provides reports detailing compliance trends, and provides direct staff support to all services in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering, a comprehensive quality program. Reporting to local, state and national health departments, as required by law, following VHA guidelines. Participates in a number of facility Councils, Committees, and workgroups and is involved with Surgical Service and associated areas. Serves as the primary point of contact for the accreditation and compliance program and executes responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care in support of quality and safety throughout the organization. Responsible for the oversight and management of compliance with all organizational accreditation related policies. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required.</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Subject to background/security investigation. Must pass pre-employment physical examination. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
