<p>This announcement is recruiting for Registered Nurse's (RN) for the Beaver County Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic with an anticipated start date in late 2026 or early 2027.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties include but are not limited to: This nurse provides direct Veteran care and care coordination, as it pertains, to Veterans and their care within the Primary Care Department. Manages assigned panel(s), utilizes registries, and ensures appropriate evaluation and access is provided to patient panels. Provides health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management. Assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and enhance outcomes utilization. Integrates outpatient nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and judgment and is self-directed in goal setting for managing complex PACT situations. Validates understanding of the rationale for care processes and decisions. Questions clinical practices for the purpose of providing evidence-based care. Demonstrate the ability to cope with and manage competing priorities. Demonstrates competence in primary care practice and decision-making, deliberate planning, and critical thinking skills. Preferred Experience: 2 years or more experience in primary care , acute care, urgent care or emergency room nursing setting. Certification as an Ambulatory RN or Case Management RN. Ability to lead teams to deliver interdisciplinary care. Effective oral and written communications skills. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Subject to background/security investigation.
