ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>Registered Nurse Pathway to Excellence and Magnet Recognition Program Coordinator is responsible/accountable for all nursing process elements. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components. Responsible for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and procedures. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Registered Nurse Pathway to Excellence and Magnet Recognition Program Coordinator executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care.Duties include but are not limited to: Collaborating in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. Demonstrating performance and leadership that is broad enough to improve the care of all areas included within assignments. Providing peers with formal or informal constructive feedback for improvement. Supporting colleagues and other nurses through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality nursing care. Fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of health care professionals. Leading efforts with management and within the Shared Governance Structure to alleviate identified care and culture disparities between units. Evaluating outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations. Documenting outcomes at the program or service-level. The Pathway Supporting the Nursing Emergency Operations Coordinator during surge/crisis including activities but not limited to implementation of emergency staffing plans, operational procedures and protocols, emergency management functions, etc. Maintaining nursing skills by working at the bedside 8 hours every 60 days. Working in assigned area(s) primary duty station is in Dallas, Texas, but the employee is responsible for fulfilling assigned duties for all VANTHCS locations. The areas of responsibility include all patient care areas in which nursing services are delivered regardless of organizational alignment. The area assigned may be modified as needed to meet organizational needs.
