Registered Nurse (Outpatient), Mental Health - EDRP Authorized

<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>This posting is for the Mental Health (MH) Outpatient Clinic (OPC) Registered Nurse (RN) located at the Fort Worth - VA, part of the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS). The MH OPC RN serves as a Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) member and is responsible for providing competent, evidence-based outpatient care to veterans. The RN is administratively and clinically supervised by a Mental Health Service supervisor and account to the Associate Director of Patient Care Services (ADPCS). Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of patient care, patient and family education, patient self management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction. Collaborates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. Demonstrates performance and leadership that is broad enough to improve the care for a group of outpatients. Provides peers with formal or informal constructive feedback for improvement. Supports colleagues and other nurses through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality outpatient nursing care. Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of health care professionals. Evaluates outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations. Responsible for the documented outcomes at the program or service level. Program or service level outcomes must be broad and complex and can be demonstrated at any organizational level within a facility.
