<p>There is a Head Nurse Manager position available within the Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) Division, Unit 9CN, Heroes' Corner. This position is accountable to the GEC Division Manager and the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS).</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION Heroes' Corner is an 18 bed Palliative Care/Hospice Unit which is a part of the Community Living Center. It provides care to Veterans who are receiving palliative chemotherapy, palliative radiation, palliative rehabilitation, and Veterans who are at end of life. Veterans may discharge home, to community facilities, or stay on the unit for end of life. Heroes' Corner provides symptom management, wound care, IV therapy, and more. This position will be responsible for providing managerial, operational, and clinical direction for resident care on Heroes' Corner 9CN. The Nurse Manager exhibits leadership that is characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for residents on Heroes' Corner 9CN and/or related programs. A visionary with strong clinical and leadership skills is needed. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
