<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>This position is located at The Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia in the Domiciliary. This clinic is located within the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MHRRTP). This position is on the pill line in the DOM. The Mental Health Registered Nurse responsibilities are to promote personal growth and development of psychiatric MH nursing practice. The nurse gains awareness of the principles and goals of MH treatment by understanding practices related to patient-centered care. The nurse attends and observes nurse-led psycho-educational groups, uses therapeutic communication techniques, and utilizes recovery-oriented language. The nurse maintains professional boundaries to protect patient vulnerabilities and act in the best interest of the patient.
