<p>The Registered Nurse Manager, Telehealth, is responsible for coordinating patient care with an emphasis on education, self-management, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the entire care continuum. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing procedures in accordance with established policies. Key responsibilities include active participation in unit-level quality improvement initiatives and customer service programs.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Telehealth Nurse Manager contributes to the development of care delivery models and environment design, ensuring that patient care is evidence-based, accessible, affordable, and equitable. They ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards and align clinical objectives with organizational strategic goals by participating in planning and implementation efforts. They foster a positive work environment to support the organization's vision and mission. Additionally, they stay informed about and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, accreditation requirements, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Nurse Manager serves as the primary supervisory authority for their unit, overseeing operational functions and providing coverage for other Nurse Managers as necessary. Their responsibilities include staff orientation, training, professional development, performance management, and creating a culture of accountability that promotes high-quality, cost-effective care. The Nurse Manager acts as a role model, educator, and supervisor, advocating for evidence-based practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous process improvement. The Telehealth Nurse Manager reports directly to the Chief Nurse of Ambulatory Care and Daily Operations, the Nurse Manager also coordinates with the VISN Telehealth Program Manager and plays a key role in strategic, operational, and quality initiatives at both the facility and network levels. Duties include but are not limited to: Directing and supervising staff, including scheduling, mentoring, coaching, addressing conduct and performance issues, and completing evaluations and reports. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards and maintaining consistent readiness for inspections. Lead initiatives to enhance performance, improve customer service, ensure patient and staff safety, maintain standards of care, and actively participate in service and VISN committees. Oversee the strategic planning, coordination, implementation, management, and evaluation of Home Telehealth clinical applications, with a primary focus on enhancing access for Veterans in rural and highly rural areas. Collaborate with facility and network leaders to implement new programs and ensure alignment with VISN and VHA strategic initiatives. Oversee technology planning and implementation in collaboration with IT, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and VHA regulations. Oversee the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of telehealth equipment, ensuring proper integration with clinical practice protocols.
