<p>Come Join Our Team! The Richmond VA Medical Center is recruiting for two Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) positions in Nursing Acute Care. The Interventional Radiology RN executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of IR patient care. This position will be located within the Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond, Virginia.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties include but are not limited to: Collaborates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. Responsible for direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care and identifying outcomes for patient undergoing invasive procedures in IR. Coordinates patient care delivery to ensure the delivery of quality care per the established standards of practice, policy, and procedure. Provides patient education to assist the patient and/or family in understanding all phases of the invasive procedure process. Maintains knowledge of supplies and equipment used for various cases in the invasive procedures area. Performs the duties of recording, circulating, and monitoring patients in all phases of the invasive procedure. Performs hemodynamic and moderate sedation monitoring, medication administration, and provides pre-and post-care to patients undergoing invasive procedures. Supports colleagues and other nurses through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality nursing care. Evaluates outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations. Documents IR outcomes at the program or service level. Program or service level outcomes must be broad and complex and can be demonstrated at any organizational level within a facility.
