ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Inpatient Staff Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. NOTE: This position is located at the Baltimore, MD VAMC.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties of the Inpatient Staff Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to: Provides competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients and oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants, as appropriate to the setting. The selectee will assist in directing provision of nursing education , orientation, competencies and provides quality improvement and outcome utilization consultation. Demonstrated leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. Evaluates practice in ongoing process, based on best evidence. Fosters a safe and supportive environment conductive to the processional development of healthcare processionals. Partners with others to effect change and produce optimal outcomes. Other duties as assigned.
