<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Community Living Center Registered Nurse is responsible for providing competent, evidence-based care to residents with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting. The Registered Nurse will assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and enhance outcomes utilization. Duties include but are not limited to: Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Core elements of performance include knowledge and active participation in the unit/program level quality improvement process and initiatives as well as customer service programs. Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care. The focus is on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction. Ability to formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments. Seeks guidance in how to improve care provided to residents and families. Brings principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills. Seeks documentation guidance from the Minimum Data Set (MDS) coordinator to ensure accuracy of the Resource Utilization Group (RUG) score.
