ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. They assume responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. They administer medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. They influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>https://youtu.be/LM35k1p_3Tc?si=OYdVLJgrv6Jbwh7l Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide competent, evidence-based procedural care to assigned patients and oversight of licensed vocational nurses and health/nursing assistants, as appropriate to the procedural setting. Provide patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management. Assess the patients physical and mental status prior to procedures, educate on procedural and post-procedural care, and document responses to interventions, findings, report any changes. Partner with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum, including the Veteran's goals of care.
