Registered Nurse- Breast Cancer Screening Coordinator

<p>Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks is seeking a Registered Nurse Breast Cancer Screening Coordinator with knowledge and active participation in the Women's Health Program quality improvement process and initiatives as well as customer service programs. The BCSC addresses psychosocial, as well as nursing and medical needs of patients and their families/caregivers, through participation with the interdisciplinary care team.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties to include but are not limited to: Responsible for planning and coordinating breast care services. Performs a wide range of clinical, administrative, program and technical functions to support quality breast care management. Provides support to the Women Veterans Program by ensuring coordination of care is performed in a timely manner to ensure performance measures exceed benchmarks. Assists Veterans, family members, and caregivers with receiving the most appropriate options and services to meet their breast care needs. Coordinates care with multiple providers across all levels and sites of care. Coordinates and expedites care from diagnosis to treatment. Analyzes and manages mammography results to collaborate with ordering providers. Utilizes databases to provide population management to track patient care through all episodes of care. Evaluates care and outcomes to ensure timely and appropriate provision of services.
