<p>Join the St. Cloud VA Health Care System as an Associate Nurse Manager and help lead exceptional care for Veterans. In this key nursing leadership role, you will coordinate daily unit operations, support staff development, promote quality and patient safety initiatives, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to mentor nursing professionals, strengthen team performance, and make a meaningful impact on Veteran care.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Associate Nurse Manager plays a vital leadership role in advancing high-quality, Veteran-centered care at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. Working collaboratively with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams, this position helps drive clinical excellence, patient safety, staff development, and operational effectiveness while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Lead day-to-day clinical and operational activities of the assigned unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective delivery of Veteran-centered care. Coordinate staffing resources, manage scheduling needs, address staffing shortages, and support workforce planning to maintain optimal patient care operations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to identify Veteran care needs, remove barriers to care, and improve clinical outcomes. Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching, education, orientation support, competency development, and ongoing professional growth opportunities. Promote quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance care delivery and organizational performance. Monitor and evaluate unit performance measures, participate in audits and accreditation readiness activities, and implement actions that strengthen quality outcomes. Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning efforts to build and sustain a highly engaged nursing workforce. Serve as a nursing leadership resource by assisting with administrative operations, resolving staff concerns, facilitating communication, and helping ensure compliance with healthcare standards and organizational priorities.
