Registered Nurse-Assistant Nurse Manager

<p>The Miami VA Healthcare System's Acute Care Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse-Assistant Nurse Manager. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Assistant Nurse Manager demonstrates specialized knowledge and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care. The incumbent assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self mgmt., and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Duties include but are not limited to: Supports the Nurse Manager and Nurse on Duty with supervisory duties, responsibility, and accountability for the 24/7 operation of their designated units. Provide coverage for other ANMs as needed. Responsible for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and provides input into the evaluation of individual staff performance. Function as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team. Enhance care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
