<p>The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Registered Nurse (Assistant Nurse Manager) - Patient Care Service. The Registered Nurse (Assistant Nurse Manager) supports the Nurse Manager (NM) in overseeing operations of a nursing unit/patient care area and will function within Surgical Specialty Clinics.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Registered Nurse (Assistant Nurse Manager) - Patient Care Service duties include but are not limited: Provides leadership and operational support for Dermatology, Plastics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, ENT, and Ophthalmology clinics, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Assists the Nurse Manager with supervision, direction, and evaluation of nursing and clinical support staff, including, competency assessment, and performance expectations. Ensures compliance with VA policies, regulatory standards, infection control practices, and environmental safety requirements. Supports staffing coordination, workload distribution, timekeeping functions, and daily operational oversight. Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient access, clinical efficiency, and continuity of care. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, data monitoring, and process optimization to advance clinic performance. Serves as a professional resource, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered service.
