<p>The VISN 22 VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center is seeking 1 highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) as a Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM). For Night shift in the Community Living Center 213-5. Located in Los Angeles, CA.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Assistant Nurse Manager for this area executes a position responsibility that demonstrates leadership, experience and ingenious approaches to management of complex patient care. Responsible to ensure that the highest possible quality of care is achieved and that a safe therapeutic environment is provided. Our facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team. Incumbent leads by example in defining a customer service culture to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and civility. Ensures that whenever possible, works to cultivate partnerships with our customers in developing solutions to meet their needs. Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Facilitates an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other team members. Promotes a Just Culture environment in building a climate for effective performance while allocating available resources to promote safe, efficient, effective, and quality nursing/patient care. Observes and evaluates the quality of nursing care provided including interdisciplinary patient rounds, reviewing nursing documentation in clinical records, and collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data related to the delivery of patient care. Assure the compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards of practice ANCC and implementation of required actions to meet Performance Measures. Provides leadership in the application of the nursing process to patient care, organizational processes and systems, and improves outcomes at the program or service level. Initiates an educational plan to meet changing program or service needs for self and staff. Provides leadership in identifying and addressing ethical issues with patients and staff, including initiating and participating in ethical consultations. Initiates interdisciplinary projects to improve organizational performance. Implements an educational plan to meet changing programs or service needs for self and others. Maintains knowledge of current techniques, trends and professional issues. Coaches colleagues in team building. Contributes to the strategic planning process, day-to-day operations, Logistics Management, Budget, Staffing, Human Resource actions, Hiring and attainment of goals of the organization. Ability to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients as needed Work Schedule: Full-time, Evening Night Shift. 9 hour shifts. May include Weekends and or Holidays.
