<p>The Assistant Chief Nurse: Nursing Excellence Programs provides direct line authority, responsibility, and accountability for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of Nursing Education programs.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>https://youtu.be/LM35k1p_3Tc?si=6wdZw0Lag331XBMR Major Duties: Provide direct line authority, responsibility, and accountability for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the following Nursing Education Programs: Nursing Service Orientation Local Level Employee Incentive Scholarship (EISP) National Nursing Education Initiative (NNEI) Scholarship Programs Nursing Service Competency and Unit Education Coordinators Program Nursing Recognition Initiatives Adminstrative Support for Nursing Health Professional Trainee Programs Nursing Recruitment and Retention activities All Nursing Excellence Programs Lead, integrate, and facilitate program development and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements. Responsible for resolving complex personnel and administrative issues, contribute to executive-level decision-making, and perform a full range of managerial and operational duties. Function with a high degree of independence and use sound judgement in decision-making, providing leadership across interdisciplinary groups at all organizational levels, including executive leadership. Demonstrate exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills while effectively engaging with staff, Veterans, families, and stakeholders at the facility and network levels. Provide leadership, support and guidance in establishing and maintaining nursing excellence, shaping clinical practice through professional and program development in accordance with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence and the Magnet Recognition Programs; implementation of an evidence-based practice (EBP) model; oversight of nursing professional governance and related activities; and other performance improvement (PI) programs. Execute leadership that is characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for population groups or integrated programs that cross service and/or discipline lines and influence the organizational healthcare mission.
