Registered Nurse- Acute Care

<p>This vacancy will fill a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Service at VA Pittsburgh at the University Drive Campus.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The incumbent will be expected to anticipate emergencies, coordinate prevention, and respond appropriately to emergent situations as defined by Medical Center policies and procedures. She/he will be expected to participate in unit and hospital-based quality improvement activities and continuous education. She/he will have a demonstrated competency in the completion of core and practice-specific procedures as well as the developed skills with medication administration, IV infusions, PCA pumps, Crash Cart/Defibrillators, Chest tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Telemetry monitoring, Electrocardiograms (EKG), and Cardiac Rhythm interpretation.
