Practical Nurse

<p>This position is located at WRNMMC NICoE, DEPT of Clinical Operations Service, Clinical Support in Bethesda, Maryland. Clinic Work Setting - outpatient clinic- and will follow hospital Safety Precautions. Shared Office Space Hours will be during Clinic hours 0700-1700 Monday-Friday This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Obtain information from patient and/or family to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reason for seeking health care.</p><p>Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference and length).</p><p>Provide individualized nursing care to patients based upon the physician's medical plan, the nursing assessment and the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient.</p><p>Assist the Credentialed Provider with various examinations and diagnostic procedures.</p><p>Set up and maintain a sterile field.</p><p>Observe, record, and report changes in behavior of patients.</p><p>Enter data related to the record of patients in computer systems; i.e., electronic medical records.</p><p>Perform administrative and logistical tasks as a member of the healthcare team by assisting with checking patients into the system , completing records and other clerical duties in the absence of the medical receptionist.</p>
