<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>VA Careers - Licensed Practical Nurse: https://youtube.com/embed/Ae85IP1Oiz4 Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional This LPN will play a crucial role in supporting outpatient specialty medicine services throughout the Blue team clinics particularly the neurology service. Duties for the LPN include: Preplanning for clinical operations Overseeing daily clinic flow. Supporting as a resource for administrative staff Collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary team Administering medications Triaging patient care and phone calls Serving as a liaison between providers and veterans. Overseeing clinic slot utilization to reduce underutilized slots for 18 attendings and 38 resident clinics with multiple modalities (telephone, VVC, and face to face). Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process in administering patient care by collecting data and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team on the care plan development, implementation and ongoing evaluation and revision of plan of care. Recognizes age-specific variations of clients and makes appropriate interventions. Identifies emergencies and intervenes appropriately. Performs nursing procedures and therapies according to policies and procedures. Performs technical nursing skills such as complex dressing changes and care of various tubes and drainage systems. Identifies potential factors that would impede healing and intervenes to prevent infection and promote healing. Receives, discusses, and communicates patient information upon transfer or change of tour of duty. Establishes therapeutic relationships with individual patients to elicit feelings and concerns about his/her illness and treatment.
