Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provides practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions.</p><p>Performing tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.</p><p>Administers prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.</p><p>Educates patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.</p><p>Documents accurate administered medications and patient responses promptly in compliance with facility policies.</p><p>Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective management of patient medications.</p>
