Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

<p>About the Position: The incumbent provide routine and specialized care to patients with increased independence and responsibility, supporting the ambulatory healthcare team in delivering safe, efficient, and effective care for a diverse patient population. Position is located within the Department of Medicine, Internal Medicine Service at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions, performing tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, radiology orders and referral results to completion, making future appointments</p><p>Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments.</p><p>Provide nursing care to patients in the inpatient setting with a variety of medical conditions, performing tasks such as recording vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, and reporting significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.</p><p>Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.</p><p>Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.</p>
