Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

<p>About the Position: Position is located within the Dept. of Family Medicine at the Madigan Army Medical Center and the Madigan South Sound Community Medical Home, Olympia, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Typical duty hours are Monday through Friday from 0730-1600.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assists in performing and managing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments.</p><p>Utilizes electronic health record and information technology as effective communication and management tools to facilitate the patient experience and coordination.</p><p>Provides patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.</p><p>Prepares patients for procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies, under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed medical practitioner.</p><p>Sets up necessary equipment and maintains sterile environments.</p><p>Ensures compliance with infection control protocols throughout all procedures.</p><p>Participates in team briefings and debriefings to foster a collaborative approach to patient care.</p>
