Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

<p>About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located in the Family Medicine Clinic at U.S Army Garrison Miami, Doral FL. Duty hours are from Mon-Fri, 0700 - 4p.m. The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine and specialized care in a safe, efficient, and effective way to a diverse patient population. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.</p><p>Maintain timely and accurate documentation of care provided and ensures adherence to established protocols.</p><p>Prepare and delivers oral, topical, and injectable forms while monitoring for and responding to side effects or adverse reactions.</p><p>Assist with resuscitations, stabilizations, and other critical interventions as well as initiates emergency care as needed and assembles, operates, and monitors specialized equipment.</p><p>Monitor patient responses during and after procedures, ensuring that any complications are addressed promptly.</p><p>Assist in counseling and educating patients to include, but not limited to diet, acute or chronic illness, wellness/preventative health measures, immunizations, demonstrating proper use of medical devices, and addresses questions about ongoing care.</p>
