Practical Nurse (Inpatient)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide practical nursing care to patients in the inpatient setting with a variety of medical conditions.</p><p>Perform tasks such as record vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.</p><p>Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.</p><p>Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies, under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed medical practitioner.</p><p>Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.</p>
