<p>About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Evaluate imaging results and consults with the interdisciplinary clinical and research staff regarding findings to assist and direct clinical care plans, and achieve clinical and research objectives.</p><p>Provide consultation report of the radiologic diagnostic examination, delivering interpretation of the study and the diagnosis of the radiographic examination to the clinician.</p><p>Interpret general diagnostic imaging modality exams to include MRI, CT, Ultrasound, plain film, fluoroscopy, mammography and nuclear scintigraphy.</p><p>Direct supporting employees during the performance of scheduled or emergency care procedures to include biopsies and abscess drainages.</p><p>Advise on kind and quantity of radiological supplies and equipment, the capability of available resources, and future needs.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
