Physician (Radiology)

<p>About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is located in the Diagnostic Radiology section, Department of Radiology, Clinical Support Services Directorate in Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center. Work hours are Mon-Fri 0800-1600, with occasional call rotations. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Interpret full range of general diagnostic imaging modality exams to include MRI, CT, Ultrasound, plain film, fluoroscopy, mammography and nuclear scintigraphy.</p><p>Evaluate imaging test results for the purposes of diagnosis, patient care, research, and education.</p><p>Collaborate with a interdisciplinary team.</p><p>Oversee the development and evolution of imaging service protocols.</p><p>Interact with Clinical Services to achieve best practice standards and patient care.</p><p>Assist with formulation of plans and procedures for assigned services.</p><p>Advise on radiological supplies and equipment, capability of available resources, and the future needs.</p><p>Provide technical and scientific oversight of scientific staff.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
