Physician (Radiology-Diagnostic)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Remote telework may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Evaluate imaging test results for the purposes of diagnosis, patient care, research and education.</p><p>Collaborate with interdisciplinary team consisting of direct and indirect patient care professionals to include diagnostic imaging staff, x-ray technicians, laboratory staff, and referring clinical team and providers.</p><p>Evaluate imaging results and consult with the interdisciplinary clinical and research staff regarding findings, to assist and direct clinical care plans, and achieve clinical and research objectives.</p><p>Consult with the requesting clinical provider before a procedure is done, deciding on the procedure and ensuring the minimization of the invasion of the patient.</p><p>Provide consultation, report of the radiologic diagnostic examination, delivering interpretation of the study and the diagnosis of the radiographic examination to the clinician.</p><p>Provide training in the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology to Radiology residents, other Department physicians and the medical students.</p><p>Assist with formulation of plans and procedures for assigned services; coordinate radiological services with other medical activities</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
