Physician (Psychiatry)

<p>About the Position: Applicant will complete comprehensive reviews of medical records with the dictation of a behavioral health addendum. Hours are routinely 0700-1530. Can flex as needed. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as a Physician (Psychiatry) in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) providing examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health diseases.</p><p>Provide ambulatory outpatient treatment and consultative services.</p><p>Monitors treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine.</p><p>Provide therapeutic treatment services.</p><p>Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs.</p><p>Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other staff.</p><p>Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment.</p><p>Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations of patients.</p><p>Train psychiatric residents, interns, medical students, and other medical and mental health trainees, as needed.</p>
