<p>About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Behavioral Health at Womack Army Medical Center At Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Makes decisions that have a serious impact on the lives of others, such as recommending hospitalization or determining a service members fitness for duty or assessing and completing a Medical Evaluation Board (MEB).</p><p>Provides routine, intensive, complex and emergency intakes and extended evaluation for a variety of emotional, psychological and behavioral disorders.</p><p>Performs duties as a practitioner and consultant in Psychiatry with emphasis on problems of all levels of complexity.</p><p>Provides psychiatric care for walk-in patients presenting with acute illnesses of minor and major proportions.</p><p>Collaborates with physicians in other medical specialties on cases involving complicated and multifaceted problems.</p><p>Provides treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including making arrangements for hospitalization if needed.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
