Physician (Psychiatry)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center at Fort Meade, MD. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including making arrangements for hospitalization if needed.</p><p>Provide routine, intensive, complex and emergency intakes and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders.</p><p>Provide continuing follow-up care for chronic patients with acute disorders and complications of these disorders, such as psychosis, organic brain syndrome, substance abuse/addictions, etc.</p><p>Determine and provide mental health assessments of fitness and suitability for duty and deployments of service members based on psychiatric clinical assessment.</p><p>Incumbent collaborates with physicians in other medical specialties on cases involving complicated and multifaceted problems.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
