Physician (Pediatrics)

<p>About the Position: This position is located in the Pediatrics Clinic at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Camp Pendleton, CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Recruitment or Relocation incentive may be authorized. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as Pediatrics Physician.</p><p>Provide comprehensive health services—including preventive care, diagnostics, and treatments—tailored to newborns, infants, children, and teens.</p><p>Deliver comprehensive pediatric clinical care spanning preventative screening, developmental monitoring, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.</p><p>Coordinate and/or integrate care across all elements of the healthcare system.</p><p>Properly safeguard all reports and records according to the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.</p><p>Lead a multi-disciplinary team of individuals who collectively takes responsibility for the ongoing care of patients.</p><p>Provide technical oversight of clinical staff (e.g. nurses, social workers, therapists, and various technicians) assigned to the medical home to enhance team-based care.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements
