Physician (Pediatrics)

<p>About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist/may be filled from this announcement. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide medical services including examination, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.</p><p>Address the biological, social, and environmental influences of the developing patient, with an impact of disease and dysfunction on development.</p><p>Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents</p><p>Coordinate and/or integrate care across all elements of the healthcare system (e.g., subspecialty care, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes) and the patient's community (e.g., family, public and private community).</p><p>Complete required records (both paper and electronic) pertaining to all medical services</p><p>Provides technical oversight of clinical staff (e.g. nurses, social workers, therapists, and various technicians) assigned to the medical home to enhance team-based care.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
