PHYSICIAN (PAIN MANAGEMENT/PHYSICAL MED & REHABILITATION)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients who are referred primarily for comprehensive pain management and/or a functional restoration program in an outpatient setting and/or in an inpatient setting.</p><p>Implement integrative treatments such as acupuncture, manual medicine, nutritional and lifestyle advice, other complementary and alternative medicine methods, etc., within recognized professional practice parameters.</p><p>Serve as a specialty consultant to other departments, services, and health-care providers for a variety of diseases and conditions marked by acute and chronic pain.</p><p>Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures and studies including, but not limited to, urine, blood, and tissue specimens.</p><p>Oversee, teach, lecture, mentor, and provide consultation to other health care providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, medical students, interns, residents, and fellows).</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
