PHYSICIAN (OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE)

<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves in the Public Health Directorate, Deputy Chief of Staff for Public Health, Office of The Surgeon General. Responsible for providing staff medical advice on all aspects of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Performs analyses of occupational medicine programs.</p><p>Advises on diagnosis, treatment and management of occupational and environmental illnesses or injuries</p><p>Assists in planning and conducting workshops and other professional training in occupational health.</p><p>Conducts projects, analyzes results and composes and reports interpretations and conclusions as required.</p><p>Develops, evaluates and recommends new methods and procedures for resolving occupational and environmental health problems and occupational</p><p>Identifies occupational and environmental safety and health problems requiring in-depth investigations.</p><p>Reviews new and revised occupational health standards</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
