<p>About the Position: This position is at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Department of OB/GYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)).</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as a specialist in OB-GYN, specifically Maternal Fetal Medicine, performing complicated and involved examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of patients who may have complicated and often overlapping problems.</p><p>Provide a variety of professional medical services to authorized beneficiaries of the outpatient clinic on a walk-in or scheduled appointment basis.</p><p>Examine patients to determine need for and orders laboratory test, x-rays and other procedures necessary to complete medical facts on Maternal Fetal Medicine cases.</p><p>Interpret examination findings and test results, makes diagnoses of disease, illness, disorder or injury, and treats patients or prescribes course of treatment.</p><p>Make presumptive diagnoses of more serious or uncommon conditions and seeks advice of appropriate consultants.</p><p>Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, peer review, and similar professional medical activities in conjunction with accreditation and other standards required of medical facilities.</p><p>Perform inpatient clinical duties as credentialed including but not limited to admissions, discharges, treatments, therapeutic procedures and clinical documentation for adult, pediatric, obstetrical, critical care and emergency department patients.</p><p>In the capacity of OB/GYN residency faculty, provide professional guidance to personnel assigned to the Department of OB/GYN.</p><p>Provide didactic training of the OB/GYN residents to include both formal and informal lectures and hands on teaching.</p><p>Mentor and direct supervision of OB/GYN residents in the performance of inpatient and outpatient care.</p><p>Attend and participate in clinical and administrative staff meetings.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
