<p>About the Position: This position is located at NAS Jacksonville at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. The incumbent will work in the Directorate of Surgery, OB/GYN. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Performs a range of medical duties within the clinic within the scope of OB-GYN practice; examines patients; makes diagnosis; administers treatment, and performs routine OB-GYN procedures.</p><p>Orders and interprets laboratory and radiological tests. Incumbent should have expertise in both abdominal and transvaginal ultrasonography as pertains to ambulatory OB-GYN care.</p><p>Incumbent must be able to utilize and perform screening and diagnostic modalities for GYN malignancies (biopsies/Colposcopies).</p><p>As appropriate, refers patients to others as required for further evaluation either on an outpatient or inpatient basis.</p><p>Serves as a consultant on OB-GYN related issues to Primary Care providers.</p><p>Serves as a consultant to the Commander regarding OB-GYN services.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
