Physician (OB/GYN)

<p>About the Position: This position is with Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as a board-certified physician (obstetrics and gynecology) performing inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and treatment procedures.</p><p>Provide prenatal and postnatal care and perform deliveries in maternity cases.</p><p>Treat diseases and injuries of female reproductive system, including performing major open and laparoscopic surgical procedures.</p><p>Provide accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all medical care provided.</p><p>Serve as clinical preceptor for other professional providers which may include other Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.</p><p>Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, operative deliveries, laceration repair, management of postpartum hemorrhage and other obstetric complications.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
