Physician (Internal Medicine)

<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) Solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to the positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate of Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care to authorized beneficiaries with acute and chronic conditions.</p><p>Examine, diagnose, and treat patients using clinical evaluations, laboratory results, and diagnostic testing.</p><p>Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory studies, X-rays, and EKGs to determine appropriate treatment.</p><p>Manage patient care as a Primary Care Manager and coordinate referrals to specialty clinics when required.</p><p>Prescribe medications, administer treatments, and schedule follow-up visits to monitor patient progress.</p><p>Collaborate with specialists and medical staff to manage complex or difficult diagnoses.</p><p>Maintain accurate medical documentation and supervise or advise medical personnel in patient care.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
