Physician (Family Practice)

<p>About the Position: Serve as a Physician (Family Practice), located at Naval Branch Health Clinic Portsmouth, Kittery, Maine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults.</p><p>Formulate full treatment plans based on evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current and/ or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.</p><p>Perform emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary.</p><p>Promote preventative and health maintenance care, stresses positive health behaviors and self-care through education and counseling.</p><p>Participate in Quality Assurance functions, performance improvement programs, risk management programs, and peer review programs.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
