<p>About the Position: This position is located at WINN Military Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions.</p><p>Provide pre- and post-deployment health assessments and preventive health assessments (PHA).</p><p>Manage medical conditions pertaining to the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), security clearances, overseas clearances, pre-confinement evaluations, line of duty (LOD) investigations, and occupational and fitness for duty medical evaluations.</p><p>Perform ambulatory surgical procedures and outpatient procedures.</p><p>Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures including laboratory and radiological examinations.</p><p>Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.</p><p>Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
