Physician (Family Medicine)

<p>About the Position: Positions are located at Naval Branch Clinic Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary</p><p>Diagnose illnesses and prescribes and administers healthcare treatment plans for people suffering from injury or disease.</p><p>Make recommendations on improvement of work methods and organizational features.</p><p>Complete required records pertaining to all medical services provided in accordance with specified procedures and regulations.</p><p>Serve as a recognized technical authority in the Urgent Care Clinic, as needed. Independently formulates full treatment plans based on sound evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current and/ or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
