<p>About the Position: This position is located with 96th Medical Group Eglin AFB, Florida. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader providing comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age.</p><p>Provide medical evaluations for active duty, reserve components, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian, and family member beneficiaries.</p><p>Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures including laboratory and radiological examinations.</p><p>Coordinate with facility and community resources to provide multi-disciplinary comprehensive care to all patients.</p><p>Advise other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.</p><p>Document clinical encounters and patient instructions into the medical record via current electronic medical record system and prepares clinical narrative summaries.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
