Physician (Family Medicine)

<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Naval Hospital - Beaufort, South Carolina to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Provides comprehensive Family Medicine medical care to a broad range of patients with both common and complex medical concerns. This position is Obligated and a TERM - Not to Exceed 5 years position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as a Physician in the delivery of Family medicine care to all ages of active-duty personnel, their dependents, eligible Service Component Civilian employees, and other eligible beneficiaries.</p><p>Formulate full treatment plans based on sound evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.</p><p>Apply new procedures in the evaluation and treatment of complex patient cases.</p><p>Conduct research for the advancement of the Family Medicine Program.</p><p>Serve as a member of the professional medical staff and faculty to provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and boards.</p><p>Evaluate the care provided to patients at medical treatment facility.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
