Physician (Emergency Medicine)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at EVANS ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, Fort Carson, CO in the Department of Emergency Medicine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide direct clinical emergency medical care to a wide range of patient presentations, ages and conditions including emergent, urgent, and non-urgent complaints covering the entire age spectrum.</p><p>Examine, diagnose and treat or prescribe treatment of assigned patients.</p><p>Conduct initial resuscitation and stabilization of patients. Orders appropriate laboratory, x-ray, and other diagnostic tests, interprets the total medical and surgical evidence, incorporating information into an accurate diagnosis.</p><p>Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including lifesaving and lesser procedures.</p><p>Facilitate patient access to continuing medical care by appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers and operating within the policies and regulations of the hospital.</p><p>Design, develop, and validate new simulation scenarios aligned with organizational training requirements and evidence-based medical practices.</p><p>Serve as a preceptor and supervisor of interns, residents, and medical students as outlined in MTF's Graduate Medical Education program.</p><p>Participate in the Graduate Medical Education program for Emergency Medicine residents, off-service residents, physician assistant residents, medical students and other medical trainees.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
