Physician (Emergency Medicine)

<p>About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Responsible for the full range of cases and the immediate initial recognition, evaluation, care, and disposition of patients.</p><p>Provide recommendations on additional diagnostic or treatment procedures in clinical conferences and/or discussions with staff physicians.</p><p>Direct and provide oversight of the operation of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to include nurses, paramedics, paraprofessionals, administrative and ambulance personnel and pre-hospital medical management of patients.</p><p>Provide consultative advice on professional and administrative matters concerning patient care in the Emergency Department.</p><p>Make recommendations regarding changes to policies, procedures and programs needed for efficient department operations.</p><p>Provide a broad range of medical diagnosis, treatment, counseling, services and referrals to primary care and specialty clinics.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
