ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a fully qualified accessions Physician Assistant capable of performing accession medical examinations and processes for a large range of federal applicants seeking employment with the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal organizations.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform applicant physical examinations and assists with applicant medical processing at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).</p><p>Ensure the confidentiality of applicants is respected and that professionalism is maintained at all times in the medical department.</p><p>Conduct complete face-to-face medical histories on applicants who have completed the prescreen process and have been authorized to process.</p><p>Conduct medical procedures used to evaluate and determine military suitability.</p><p>Communicate changes to the medical staff for input into the Command's applicant database.</p><p>Prepare electronic and non-electronic documentation used to assess the applicant’s mental and physical fitness for service in the military.</p><p>Perform physical inspections of previously qualified applicants to document their status for meeting standards at the time of actual enlistment on active duty and at any other time as required.</p><p>Conduct post-processing inspections according to the medical fitness standards.</p><p>Perform a variety of professional direct health care duties within the field of general medicine.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
